Death is an admonition

A glance at a grave
Lifted up the deceitful veil
And made me realise
The vast emptiness in earthly strife
And the brevity of our sojourn in life

A glance at the grave
Causes me to ask myself a question
Amongst questions we so much love to ignore
What if i die today
What awaits me in my grave

The heat of the sun
Brew sweat around my brows
Which trickle and meander
To each unanswered question
I shiver and shudder

Out of fear
My heart threatens to sublime
As I count wasted years
Before me lay those already out of time
And I slowly approach mine
Our souls stir in restlessness
Helpless and unfulfilled
Seeking perfect tranquility
It longs for an idyll
The labyrinthine world
It'll gladly turn upside down
The corners of earth it'll tour
Hoping it finds it around
In this confused world
Burden and hardships we're bound to face
 In various things
Man seeks his solace
A drowning man he is
Clutching at straws
Seeking a lasting joy and inner peace
In ephemeral pleasures
Unsatisfied he'll forever remain
Till he acknowledges his Lord.

Many may look at your veil and beard with a scornful face
You'll hardly pass them by
Without sensing their grimace
But what you may never realise
Is how they feel deep inside
Which some if not most may never relate
Some envy your courage
For standing for what is right
And they know well in their hearts
That you're on the right side
Of which their vain bond to this world
Which's nothing short o' shackles
Is their greatest obstacle
In achieving likewise

Some want what they feel is best for you
But they still ignorantly confuse
Evil for good
When they see you grasp the burning coal
The heat searing through your skin
They often can't push back the upsurge of sorrow
That disturbingly erupts from within

Hoping to rush to your 'aid'
And relieve you of such faith
Which subjects you to 'bizarre' stress and strain
They try so hard
To get it off your hands
 Because to them
Its just too strange

They keep forgetting
No pain No gain
Not knowing
That Tuba- immense glad tidings
Patiently await the strangers

Some worry about the new public opinion of you
Because they care
Your fitting into the hostile society
Worries and causes them to fear.
This fear of theirs you have to work hard to allay
As you prepare to meet the pay-day

Life and Perception

PERCEPTION
So which of these two are you?

For some life is short
So you've to enjoy it to the fullest
Drink to stupor
eat without inhibition and party all night.
Let not a moment go to waste
See the world, never restrict your sight
Do whatever you can to get whatever you crave
Of every dish and damsel make attempts to taste
Lose yourself to the tune of life
For the world's riches and fame
Trade your burdensome shame
Have no regrets nor remorse
In short no retrospection

And for some, life is short
So you've to live it right
Obey and fear your Lord
And for Him, u should stand up all night
Ur gaze u strive to guard
To ur good deeds, u strive to add
When you err, u feel sad
And for jannah, you work hard
Between here and after
the latter you choose
The former is incomparably shorter
U've got nothing to lose
Ur chastity u protect
From bad companies, you defect
Ur evil ways, u leave and regret
Cos u know there's more to life
Than seeing smiles
And knowing faces
For Allah's love u're ready to strive
Ready to walk the miles
And go different places

First Law of Motion: Motivation

First Law Of Motion: Motivation
Every object will continue to be in a state of rest or uniform motion unless acted upon by a (external) force. In life, there are many things we fail to do, not because we didn't have the opportunity, but rather because we simply failed to take the chance. How many a time do we realize we ought to do something yet we don't feel the zeal to accomplish it!
Motivation can be described as an external force that acts on one's inner will such that it sets it to motion. It is simply a reason for which an action is intended. What motivates people is almost as diverse as the people themselves and different motivation may be needed for different tasks. Finding the right motivation is just as important as accomplishing the task at hand because the two are like pegs and holes, they must fit into each other. Whatever inspires an individual to do a thing must have enough momentum to surmount whatever challenges that lies in his path. The desire to get a decent meal might be enough to make a man walk down the street to the grocery store on a normal day but the same desire won't be enough to get him out of his house when he's almost deafened by gunshots just outside his home. But the thought of saving his skin would be enough to make him brave more daring situations.
Sometimes, people set out to do things struggling very hard at first only to give up midway. This is mostly due to weak motivation. Simply, they don't feel the goal is worth the struggle, at least, not anymore. At such point, the individual has to look inward and re-evaluate the importance of the goal he desires to achieve. If he starts to feel the reason is not worth the effort, he needs to find a bigger reason and assert it in his mind and at times all that may be needed could be to remember the reason he set out in the first place to achieve his goal. As humans we tend to forget things pretty quickly especially when faced with challenges.
Challenges are no more than frictional forces acting in opposite direction to wherever we head. Funny enough, whichever way we head there will be opposing forces. Though, there is a great challenge associated with starting which is very comparable to the static frictional force, it does not end at that because there is also the dynamic frictional force equally comparable to the challenges you meet on the go. But as in physics, the dynamic frictional force is usually lesser than the static frictional force. Among the challenges we need to overcome before we begin anything is our fears, some of which we later find to be inconsequential. Thus, most often than not, we find some things easier than we had ever imagined they could ever be.
